EMPIRE Hires Amir Abbassy In Content Role & Peter Kadin as VP of Marketing

(CelebrityAccess) – US-based independent distributor, label and music publisher EMPIRE has this week announced two key new hires.

Amir Abbassy, who joins EMPIRE as Head of Content Development & Production, will be tasked with leveraging the company’s roster of artists and catalog of music to drive in-house content development and production of original programming, while Peter Kadin, who is an experienced publicist and strategic marketer, joins the company as VP of Marketing, and has been tasked with overseeing the development and execution of marketing and PR campaigns for EMPIRE artists.

“I’ve known Amir and Peter for years and their reputation in the industry preceded them,” said Nima Etminan, VP of Operations at EMPIRE. “Adding them to the team was not only a natural fit, but strategically expands our scope and capabilities as a company. They have both shown an ability to push boundaries in their respective fields and will be an integral part of bringing our dynamic roster of artists to a global audience.”

A former employee of All Def Digital, Abbassy created Webby Award-winning series such as “ARTS & RAPS,” and “THE SIGNAL,” and also conceived, developed and sold, “TRAFFIC JAMS,” one of the first premium episodic series ever to air on Spotify. Kadin comes to EMPIRE after launching his own public relations and marketing consulting agency in San Francisco, and previously serving as Sr. Director of Media & Artist Relations at Def Jam Recordings in New York City. He has spearheaded campaigns for the likes of Stevie Wonder, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Logic and Pusha T among others.
