LA Knight has been long construed as someone who’s merely a rip-off of The Rock. This week on SmackDown, United States Champion Logan Paul went deep into his bag to remind The Megastar of that juxtaposition once again. However, the bottom line is that these two will square off for the US title at SummerSlam. But before that, Knight has something to say to his soon-to-be opponent.
The former Eli Drake took to X and asked Paul to count his days as the US Champion. Knight brazenly claimed that dethroning The Maverick for the gold in his hometown of Cleveland is the only moment he’ll ever need. There’s no denying the fact that Logan will descend on Cleveland Browns Stadium as someone who’d back himself for the win. However, his foe, LA Knight, has been a sentimental favorite for quite some time now.
The IMPAULSIVE host might have a hard time swaying the crowd in his favor come SummerSlam. It’s going to be his first title defense since WrestleMania XL. At the Show of Shows, he barely escaped the wrath of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Even after defending his title, a paltry thrice, Logan Paul wasn’t willing to let Knight have a crack at the strap.

The Defiant One then brought up Logan’s brother Jake, who didn’t back down from picking a fight with Mike Tyson. However, as for Logan, the 41-year-old wondered whether he doesn’t have the balls to emulate The Problem Child. And just like that, the boxer-turned-wrestler got riled up and eventually signed the contract to make their match official. Paul even sneaked into the ring hoping to ground Knight for good, but it backfired as the latter had his head on a swivel.
Why LA Knight feels he doesn’t have the same level of fandom as Cody Rhodes?
From managing the Maximum Male Models as Max Dupri to the megastar he has become, LA Knight has come a long way. There’s not been a single dry patch in his career over the last year as far as his popularity is concerned.
Despite topping the merchandise sales list, trumping top names at times, Knight doesn’t feel he’s at the same level as other top babyfaces WWE has. Recently, the real-life Shawn Ricker sat down with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About‘s latest episode on WWE’s YouTube.
During their conversation, the former TNA World Champion admitted that he’s yet to receive that validation from the WWE fans where he could consider himself at par with someone like The American Nightmare himself. LA further added that he’s almost there saying Rhodes is at the 12th floor, while he’s on the 11th.
