This has been a wild weekend in hoops. Between Scottie Pippen driving around with a shirtless woman in the back of his car and Luka Doncic’s boat party photos with his girl, it has been one thing after another.

Anthony possibly spitting game at some woman during a Summer League outing is just par for the course.

Big picture, this is going to be an important year for both the Magic and Anthony.

Last season the team showed glimpses of potential after drafting Paolo Banchero. He seems to have all the makings of a franchise superstar – so long as he continues to develop.

Anthony wound up regressing a bit from his standout 2021-22 campaign as far as minutes played, points scored and assists dished out. That being said, his shooting numbers improved from the field and beyond the arc.

If he can continue to shoot better while also stepping up the other aspects of his game, Anthony could be in for a career year.

What will Anthony and the Magic ultimately be able to accomplish in the 2023-24 NBA season? Time will tell.
