Jason Kelce is certainly one of the most loved men from the NFL world in the country, especially for his continuous Philanthropic endeavors. A few days back, he and his brother Travis Kelce were seen extending their support to the Kansas City Super Bowl Parade shooting victims. Now, he took part in the 16th Annual Mike’s Seafood 5k Run in Sea Isle City for a humanitarian cause.
A report by the Press Atlantic City suggested that the event was announced to raise money for the families of children with special needs, autism support groups and special services schools. The Philadelphia Eagles Center who is 36 and went through severe physical struggles throughout the 2023-24 season, finished the race a few seconds beyond the 43-minute mark.
A short video went viral showing Kelce running for the special cause. This earned respect from the netizens. After the exit of the Philadelphia Eagles, there were talks that the center would announce his retirement. There were retirement rumors everywhere. Following his celebrations at pubs and dancing shirtless, rumors gathered steam that he would be taking retirement very soon.
Though Kelce has not announced his retirement till date, he has not confirmed his return either. The TE is presently enjoying his offseason. If he does not come back, then the Eagles might have his replacement ready.
As things stand right now, Kelce is more interested in philanthropy. The center is part of the Eagles Autism Foundation since 2019. Not only him but also his family members are part of the foundation. This personal attachment to the foundation pushed him to run for the Autism cause. After the run, he further made fun of himself.
Jordan Mailata is unsure about the return of Jason Kelce
The Eagles teammates are unsure about the return of the center to the team. Jordan Mailata recently opened up about the possibilities of him returning to football, especially after seeing him at parties.
He told NBC Sports:
There's no shot. You’re telling me he’s going shirts off in the games, gambling in the casinos, he’s coming back? No way. He’s having too much fun. He’s out there living his life. And I’m going to miss him for sure, man. This has been the greatest six years of my life for sure, being here in the NFL and getting to meet people like Jason Kelce.Jordan Mailata on Jason Kelce
Though Kelce has not stated anything about his retirement, he is expected to comment on his possible future. As things stand, there is quite a while until the next season begins.
